Luxembourg's new build market has had a rough few years, and off plan sales have taken the hardest hit. Paperjam Club asks the question everyone in the sector is quietly asking: how do you get buyers and investors to trust a building that does not exist yet? The evening looks at which development models can get projects moving again and what role VEFA, the off plan purchase framework, can play in restarting housing construction.
Housing Minister Claude Meisch opens proceedings at 18:05, before François Trausch, CEO of PIMCO Prime Real Estate, takes the stage for the keynote at 18:15. At 18:45 he stays on for a round table with Pit Linster, head of the Companies and Entrepreneurs division at Banque de Luxembourg, Romain Muller, chairman of LuxReal, and architect Tatiana Fabeck of Fabeck Architectes. Finance, development and design in one panel, which should make for a more honest conversation than the usual sales pitch. Q&A follows at 19:15, and a closing drink at 19:30 gives you the chance to continue the debate off the record.
Held as part of the Semaine Nationale du Logement at Luxexpo The Box.
